Automated Arrivals
Automated Arrivals delivers immediate benefits
Automated Arrivals is a touch-screen system that allows patients to electronically check themselves in for an appointment. Simple to install and easy to use, Automated Arrivals:
- makes an immediate impact on patient queuing times
- releases staff to perform those tasks that require more demanding levels of patient interaction.
Automated Arrivals is fully integrated with your appointments system and is aware of all appointments made with any of your healthcare professionals that hold booked sessions.
Patient identification
The system identifies the arriving patient either from the touch-screen entry of their date of birth and gender or from the recognition of their fingerprint.
The latter requires a fingerprint registration process, but once completed the arrivals process is highly streamlined, fast and accurate, requiring only two touch-screen actions by the patient.
Within seconds, the patient is informed of who they are seeing and the approximate wait and the appointments system is updated so that all staff know the patient has arrived.
A set of configuration options enables staff to:
- specify a late arrivals period. If a patient arrives after the specified late arrivals time they are asked to report to the reception desk.
- Communicate a general message to all patients, such as ‘Have you had your flu jab?’
- Display specific messages to a patient, or group of patients, dependent on age, sex and doctor. For example, to inform patients of the presence of students or video equipment
- Offer multiple languages, appropriate to their local area
- Direct patients to different waiting areas.
