History of PAERS
PAERS (Patient Access to Electronic Records) Limited is an independent company set up by doctors to provide tools for healthcare professionals to enhance services for their patients through the use of touch screen kiosk and web based technologies.
PAERS Ltd was established in 2003, building on the success of an NHS pilot project providing patients access to their own electronic medical record in a progressive practice in South East London. Patients used their fingerprints to access both their medical records and automated arrivals.
The three doctors who founded PAERS have taken the company from strength to strength. PAERS is now the largest provider of GP check in systems, and has successfully expanded this expertise to other healthcare areas.
The primary goal of PAERS remains to enable full access for all patients to view their GP electronic medical record. However, the growing team within PAERS and their vast experience in both patient care and IT has enabled the expansion of the range of services for patients and professionals.
The company is directed br Dr Fraser Booth, Dr Lachlan Clark and Dr Brian Fisher, MBE. All of the development is carried out with the close involvement of patients and healthcare professionals.
